Mondaine Watches

The basis for Mondaine's famous railway watches is the Swiss station clock designed in 1944 by Hans Hilfiker (1901-1993), a renowned Swiss engineer who worked for Swiss Railways. The clock became the official station clock and can still be seen on 3,000 platforms and public places in Switzerland. In 1986, Mondaine translated the clock into the watch that is the figurehead of Mondaine's design line.
